Hi! I'm Nina Bastick. I'm a left handed junior at Park City High School in Utah and I started playing water polo about 10 years ago.
I joined the high school swim team freshman year and have been doing it alongside water polo ever since, I also do HIIT for cross training. Recently, I have had athletic achievements such as being Utah State Champions in the spring and fall of 2021 and I have been on the ODP national team for Mountain Zone for four years and counting. I generally play the wing on the 4-5 side. I can also post and play center defender. I am a good leader with great sportsmanship, as I have won multiple sportsmanship awards over the years. My coach, Heather Kohler Flynn, is a UC Davis graduate who played on the junior and senior national teams for 9 years.
I am a very academically driven, bilingual student with numerous honors and AP classes. I am fluent in French as I have been taking it ever since first grade and I have passed the AP test. I am now in my second year in a bridge program through Utah Valley University to gain college credits for French. I am currently in three AP classes and I have previously taken two, I have been in honors math since sixth grade and I have passed every AP test that I have ever taken. I am extremely dedicated to what I do and I am always looking for room to improve.
