Kayla Poe '21 Recruiting Profile

Since the age of ten I knew I wanted to play soccer at the college level, and to achieve this goal I would need to be focused and dedicated. Five years later, I am still striving toward this goal by giving 100% at my training, volunteering for community service, and working hard at my academics by taking college level classes while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I know I must be committed as a scholar and an athlete to achieve my goal and understand that my academic work ethic is just as important, if not more, than my soccer work ethic. I am proud to say that I hold myself to exceptionally high expectations and standards in everything I do. I have been the captain of my competitive soccer team for the past two years and take pride in leading by example.

Because of my commitment and determination, I believe I will be able to successfully balance the challenge of playing college level soccer while meeting the extreme demands of college level academics.  I am looking for a school that will challenge me both academically and physically not only making be a better athlete but a better person.
